Summer is all about sun, margaritas, and the beach! While it’s not summer right now, I’ve been reminiscing about the past season’s looks and can’t help but get excited for what summer 2025 has in store. Let’s reflect on some standout trends from this year and dive into my predictions for what’s next.
Summer 2024: A Season of Cheeky Confidence
This past summer, it was all about cheeks out! Micro shorts were everywhere—whether it was cargo styles or playful ruffle designs. Influencers styled them with baby tees and “wife lovers” (because let’s retire the old term, shall we?). These combos nailed that effortless vibe: comfy yet totally dressed up.
Another shorts moment we couldn’t get enough of? Oversized jorts. Honestly, I had a good laugh about this because I cut a pair of Wrangler jeans into jorts back in 2021, and no one got it then. But hey, trends always circle back, and 2024 was jorts’ time to shine! We saw them paired with cropped tanks, trucker hats, and, of course, the iconic Adidas Sambas.
Speaking of Sambas, they were THE shoe of the summer. But now, as we head into winter, they’ve proven their staying power. This reminds me of how shoes like Nike Air Forces and the 2018 FILA Disruptors had their moments in past years. The sneaker world is all about rotations, and the Sambas will be a shoe of the past.

Move over, Sambas—2025 could be the year of the Adidas Taekwondo. With sleek, streetwear-inspired vibes, these sneakers scream Japanese street style and are poised to dominate the scene.
